Fan and Switch Mounting
The recommended location ol the booster tan is a minimum of 15
linear (not equivalent) leet of duct from the dryer outlel lf the lan is
mountbd closer than the recommended 15 feet, it may develop enough

Pressure Sensor Switch 0Peration
Fantech's DB10 is a positive pressure sensing switch which recognizes
drvir operation and ictivates the booster lan {rom an independent
eteciricit circuit. This eliminates connecti0ns through the dryer circuit
which may void the manulacturers' warranty as well as manual
rystemt *ni.n requird the attention ol the operator or costly currenv
temperature sensing systems.

qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes
and standards, including fire-rated construction.

National Fire Protection Association (NFpA), the American

2Using the wood screws provided, altach the m0unting bracket to a
support beam at the selected location. Bracket is provided with gaskels
in 0rder lo isolate any vibration and prevent the transmission of sound
through the structure. Be careful not to overlighten. Fan m0unting can
be in any angle, however, veftical mounting is recommended to reduce
condensation buildup in the fan. lf a h0rizontal installati0n is necessary
and condensation buildup may pose a problem, aiA" hole drilled in the
bottom of the housing (along with an NpT insert and drain tubing) wi|l
allow condensation to d rain.
Step 3. Mount Fan
For optimum sensitivity, the switch diaphragm should be p0sitioned
vertically. (lllustrations below show diaphragm positi0n for horizontal,
vertical and ducts installed at an angle.) Wiring box should be
positioned for easy access. Attach tan to the mounting bracket wjth the
self tapping screws provided. Care should be taken not 10 slrip the
plastic housing. Although screw pilot holes are not required,3/3r"(0r
smalier) pilot holes are recommended.
