The following was noted:
The purpose of the site visit was to review the framing of the new loft area above the kitchen.
I
2.The east floor header ((3)-2 x l0) was replaced by a (2)-9%" M.L. header, which was
connected to a (2)-9%" M.L. ledger. The ledger should be attached to a beam inside the wall
with(4)-%'diameter x 9" lag-bolts at its east end (3" minimum edge distance and 3"
minimum spacing.
A glu-lam beam at the garage level stair landing can be cut out to allow an access door to be
installed into the new space.
A new (3)-12" M.L. header should be installed under the east garage wing roof beam at its
north support. Three 2 x 6 posts should be installed under each header end.
Anew 3-2 x 12 header in the east loft wall can be replacedby a(3)-9%" M.L. beam.
