Amendment to the 2002 N.E.C. Town of vaal oldinanae 4, series of 2005
Overhead seruices are not allowed in the Town of Vail.
Underground seruices shattbe in conduit (PVC) from the utilityhansformer to the electric meter, main
disconnect switch, and to the first electrical distribuUon circuit breaker panel.
The main disconnect switch shall b readily awssible, andlocated next to the meter on the exterior
wall of the structure. All underground conduits are required to be inspected before back-filling the trench.
In multi-family dwelling units, no electrical wiring or feeder cables shall pass from one unit to another.
Common walls and spaces are exempt

TOWN OF VAIL ELECTRICAT PERMIT GUIDELINES
All installations of exterior hot tubs or spa's require a DRB approval from planning. This application will not
be accepted without a copy of the DRB approval form attached (if applicable).
If this permit is for installaton of an exterior hot tub or spa on a new elevated platform or deck over 30"
above grade, you must also obtain a building permit.
If this iermii is for installation of an exterior hot tub or spa on any exisUng deck or elevated platform, a
structural engineer must review the existing condition and verify that it will suppoft the added concen-
trated load. Flease provide a copy of lhe structural engineers wet stamped letter or drawing with this ap-
plication.
if tnis is a remodel in a multi-family building with a homeowners association, a letter of permission from
the association is required.
If this permit is for a commercial space, two (2) sets of stamped drawings are required. Elatrical one'
