quiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design
Review cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as
outlined in the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Plan-
ning and Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a
building permit is issued and construction commences.

I am the owner of the above referenced property and I am proposing improvements to the
property as follows: the outside of the house is predominantly artificial stucco. Over the years, the
stucco at the lower portion of the house has deteriorated as a result of contact with moisture
(predominantly snow and ice). I am proposing to hire a stone mason to "rock" the entire perimeter
of the house with natural stone of the style and color indicated in the enclosed pictures. Initially, the
existing moss rock walls on the west and north sides of the house and around the front entrance will
be removed. In its place and continuing around the house will be a "dry stack" of natural stone.
This fascia is planned to be approximately 36 inches high from the ground up except at the lower
(walk out) level on the west side of the house which will be all stone. At the top of the stone fascia
at approximately 36 inches will be an angled 2 inch buff drip sill "cap" also constructed of natural
sedimentary stone. That cap is proposed to butt up against the existing stucco to shed moisture and
create a weather proof barrier.
The existing stucco is a light blue color and above the 3 foot level also needs to be repaired
in some spots. In conjunction with those repairs I plan to paint the existing stucco a more natural tan
or beige color that will blend with the proposed natural stone. Hopefully, the plans provided by the
contractor, which are included with this presentation, adequately explain the proposed work. Please
