It will take some time to draw new plans and get a bid. I would also like to have a little time to investigate the storage sheds. They can be done very nicely and we even have an option to stucco it to match the building at a much lower cost. Kathy ---Original Message- From: Rachel Friede [mailto:RFriede@vailgov.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 4:13 PM To: kschoenfeld@featherpetro.com Subject: trash enclosure I spoke with my boss about your application, and he suggested that you might not need a roof if you choose to build an enclosure for screening. If this is how you would like to proceed, send me updated plans. Do you intend to build the enclosure prior to the winter season? If not, I will have to withdraw your application and you will have to reapply in the spring. Rachel Friede, AICP, LEED AP Town Planner Community Development Dept. 75 S. Frontage Rd. Vail, CO 81657 Dear Mr. Gibson, ow _,~ED 'LJ ► Y We spoke a few months ago about our plans to build a wildlife resistant trash enclosure at our Stop `n Save store in West Vail. I have obtained the owners permission and have enclosed a check in the amount of $50 for the application fee along with the items requested. I am missing photos of the adjacent businesses and can provide those if needed as I will be passing through Vail next weekend. We did strive to design the structure to take on the shape of the building and of the houses behind the property by using a pitched roof rather than a "lean-to" type roof. We have not obtained a contractor yet but will be more than likely using FCI Constructors for this project. I really wanted to make sure we have proposed what the town is looking for first. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or comments.
