Frontage Road Vail, CO 81657 RE: Extend a roof overhang, Unit 2, Summers Lodge Dear Jennifer: Accompanying is an Application for Design Review, Minor Exterior Alteration for Unit 2, Summer Lodge, 123 Willow Place, Vail, CO. The request is to extend the roof overhang approximately 2' 6" to cover the existing deck on Unit 2. Currently the snow and ice builds up on the deck during the winter causing a safety issue for the applicants. By extending the roof and providing a new gutter with heat tape the problem will be ameliorated. There is no impact to adjacent unit owners or the unit below. All materials as shown in the plans of 8/24/09 will match the existing materials and colors on site. The proposed roof overhang is not visible from the street due to the large pine tree directly off this deck.
