General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving the additio
net floor area and/or gross residential floor area (GRFA). This also includes proposals for `residential 250 additions' and
`interior conversions'. Applicable Vail Town Code sections can be found at www.vailgov.com under Vail Information -
Town Code Online. All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit ap-
plication. An application for Design Review cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Commu-
nity Development Department, as outlined in the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by
the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from
the date of approval, unless a building permit is issued and construction commences.

The Town of Vail Staff is reviewing the design review application for the proposed addition at 760 Potato Patch
Drive. Public Works and Fire Department comments are not yet available, but here are the Planning
Department comments:
- Submit title report schedules A & B.
- Submit Joint Property Owner approval letter.
- Provide landscape area calculations.
- Site plan must be revised as follows:
. label lot size
. show setbacks
. label new roof ridge elevations, existing & natural grades below, and roof height calculations
. show exterior parking spaces with 9'x19' box and interior spaces with 9'x18' box
. show driveway grades, spot elevations, and percent slope calculations
. show driveway snow storage location and area calculations
. show limits of disturbance fencing
. driveway snowmelt heat within the street right-of-way must be on a separate zone
- Elevations must be revised as follows:
. Label roof elevations
. Show existing and proposed exterior lighting fixtures
. Dimension building elements
- Submit an Exterior Lighting Plan
. Indicate type, location, and number of fixtures
. Submit cut-sheets for new fixtures
. All exterior lights must be "full cut-off' style fixtures
This project has been fast-tracked and is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday's Design Review Board
hearing. So, please submit revised plans and the additional information necessary to address the above listed
items at your earliest convenience.
