Mike,
We are seeking approval to upgrade the devices in Oscar Tang's Red Lion condo unit R2 and
common spaces. The devices being installed are V-PS smoke detectors and SB4U sounder
bases in the sleeping units. Both devices are �isted for the panel, the cut sheets are attached.
We will be extending the SLC lop to add smoke detectors in each of the sleeping areas
The existing circuit that unit R2 condo unit is on currently draws 1.25 amp in alarm. The existing
devices draw 75ma in alarm for each existing smoke. The new devices draw to 41 ma for the
sounder base and 45ua for the smoke, for a total draw of 41.46ma. For each smoke detector
we replace, the amp draw on the existing circuit will be decreased by 33.54ma. We will be
installing 8 new smokes with sounder bases and 2 new smokes without sounder bases. Total
amp decrease is 257.25ma. The circuit is expected to draw 1 amp of the 2.5 allowed when the
upgrade is complete.
The existing 11ah batteries will remain as the alarm current is expected to decrease from 3.6
amps in alarm to an expected value of 3.34 amps.
