Flex heads will not be used.

We did not relocate this manual pull station, however if VFES prefers it moved to
behind the counter we can discuss and agree on location prior to Shop Drawings being
completed.

On Sheet FPFA .00, the Fire Alarm Plan has been revised to show a heat detector in
Skate Sharpening Room 118.

On Sheet FPFA .00, the Fire Protection Plan has been revised to add four sprinkler

Skate Shop Tenant Improvement. The Skate Shop is located on the east side of the retail
area on Level 1.
Included with this letter are:

International Building Code, 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Mechanical
Code, 2003 International Fuel Gas Code, 2003 International Plumbing Code, 2003 International
Energy Conservation Code and 2008 National Electrical Code as modified and adopted by the Town of
Vail.

• Please submit four complete sets of revised construction documents containina the requested
information with all �lan revision items clouded or otherwise identified. Partial plan sets or
loose plan sheets are not accepted.
• Please respond in writing to each comment with a response letter stamped and signed by the
architect and/or engineer. Indicate which plan sheet, detail, specification, or calculation shows
the requested information. Please resubmit complete plan revisions, response letter and
a Town of Vail transmittal form to the Town of Vail Community Development Office.
• Please be sure to include on the resubmittal the architect's stamp and or engineer's stamp,
si4nature, reQistration number and date on all sheets of the plans.
Solaris Design Team 4-29-10 responses are shown in Green text below each TOV comment.
Architectural Comments:
1 Include building code summary information on the plans. Occupancy type, occupant load, type of
construction, and adopted codes per TOV.
Please see revised Sheet R2.12.
2 Revise plans to provide a minimum 21"clearance from the front of the water closet in toilet room

Please see Enlarged Plan 1 on revised Sheet A6.12. Clearance is now 22 �/2".
Mechanical Comments:
3 Provide outside air calculations showing compliance with IMC table 403.3.
Please see attached Retail Ventilation Summary Spreadsheet. In addition, the F+K design
required an OA Louver of 0.70 square feet (sf) NFA for Retail 113 — Skate Shop. We have
provided a louver with 0.75 sf NFA above on Level 3 near Grids T and 22.5, as shown on
Detail 6 on A4.30.
4 Provide fire dampers at all ducts passing through the fire barrier walls from adjacent occupancy
space.
Please see revised Sheet M2.11 and M2.12.
5 Provide fire dampers at the 8x6 exhaust duct through the floor/ceiling assembly.
Please see revised Sheet M2.12 for added Fire Damper at ceiling in 8 x 6 duct.
Electrical Comments:
6 Include a panel schedule, one-line diagram and load calculations for the proposed electrical work on
the tenant space.
