TOGETHER, AND STRAPPED TOGETHER WITH SIMPSON CS16 METAL STRAPS AROUND THE POSTS AT 48 INCHES
MAXIMUM ON CENTER.
F. MISCELLANEOUS
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT THE BUILDING W ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF BUILDING
CODES ADOPTED BY THE JURISDICTION OF AUTHORITY AND REFERENCES CITED HEREIN.
2. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LATERAL BRACING AND VERTICAL SUPPORT OF THE STRUCTURE
THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT, UNTIL THE STRUCTURE IS COMPLETE TO THE FINAL CONFIGURATION
SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, SHORING AND BRACING SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE AS LUNG AS NECESSARY FOR SAFETY,
AND UNTIL ALL DIAPHRAGMS AND STRUCTURE ARE CAPABLE OF PROVIDING STRUCTURE STABILITY.
3. ALL DIMENSIONS TO EXISTING STRUCTURE, SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, SHALL BE FIELD- VERIFIED PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF ANY WORK. ANY DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE OWNER AND
ENGINEER -OF- RECORD, AND APPROVED, PRIOR TO THE FABRICATION OF ANY MATERIALS.
4. IF DURING THE COURSE OF WORK, ANY UNUSUAL OR DETRIMENTAL CONDITIONS NOT INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS,
ARE DISCOVERED, THEY SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER -OF- RECORD
BEFORE WORK CAN PROCEED WITH THAT PORTION OF THE WORK.
5. SITE VISITS REQUESTED BY THE OWNER, LENDER, INSURER, AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT, OR OTHER PARTY WILL BE
PERFORMED BY THE ENGINEER -OF- RECORD AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. AT LEAST 48 HOURS NOTICE OF SUCH
OBSERVATIONS SHALL BE GIVEN TO THE ENGINEER -OF- RECORD DOING THE OBSERVATIONS.
6. ALL DIMENSIONS ON THE FRAMING PLANS SHALL BE CHECKED AGAINST THE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS. ANY
DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER -OF- RECORD PRIOR TO
THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY ELEMENTS AFFECTED BY THE DIMENSIONS.
7. THIS DESIGN ASSUMES THAT THE EXISTING FOUNDATIONS AND WALLS ARE RE- USABLE AND CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING
THE STRUCTURE LOADS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DESIGN. OWNER SHALL CONTACT THE ENGINEER -OF- RECORD WHEN
THE EXISTING STRUCTURE IS EXPOSED SUFFICIENTLY TO DETERMINE THEIR RE -USE. IN THE EVENT IT IS DETERMINED
THE EXISTING STRUCTURE IS NOT CAPABLE OF PROVIDING ADEQUATE SUPPORT FOR THE DESIGN SHOWN, THE
ENGINEER -OF- RECORD SHALL DESIGN AND DETAIL THE NECESSARY ELEMENTS AT ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE
OWNER.
8. CERTAIN ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING THE EXISTING STRUCTURE HAVE BEEN MADE IN ORDER TO ANALYZE EXISTING
AND NEW STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS. REFER TO THE DRAWINGS FOR SUCH ASSUMPTIONS, AND CONTACT THE
ENGINEER -OF- RECORD IN THE EVENT SUCH ASSUMPTIONS ARE NOT CORRECT. ANY ADDITIONAL EFFORT NEEDED TO
MODIFY THE CURRENT DESIGN, BASED ON FIELD - VERIFIED CONDITIONS, WILL BE ADDITIONAL EXPENSES TO THE
OWNER.
9. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER, CONTRACTOR, AND /OR SUBCONTRACTORS TO PERFORM AN INDEPENDENT
