the Solaris Shops Department of Community Development Comments referenced above.
SUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS:
1. Revise code information sheet CS. The building construction type for Solaris is I-B. The
number of floors is 8.
• Noted, modified CS sheet to show building construction type as I-B
and the number of floors as 8. RE: CS.
2. Provide 2 hour fire barrier at the rear exit location where adjacent to the exit passageway.
IBC 1023.
• Noted, complies. The 2 hour fire barrier and new exit build-out is

to prevent any snow from accumulating under and blocking the vent
termination. This has also been discussed and accepted by Martin Haeberle on

13. Provide fire dampers in ducts where passing through 2 hour fire barrier wall and
adjacent tenant space wall.
• No duct penetration of the Alpine Sank tenant walls or 2 hour fire
barrier walls occurs. Associated penetration protection is not
required or included within these drawings. The plans indicate a new
8"round exhaust duct connection to an existing duct routed over the
rear 2-hr rated "h-configuration" passageway. As a result of the "h-
