So far! Monthly ridership comparison 2019 -2024 2024Fare Free Service Began May 2024 Free Vail -BC Service Began Dec 2023 What’s new? •Winter season begins December 1 and lasts until April 13 •STILL fare-free for most trips (fares required for travel to/from Gypsum and Leadville) •Fare-free for ALL youth under 18 (including rides to/from Leadville), for one year beginning November 1. •New printed schedule and ‘Bus like a Pro’ brochure. •Still working to flip ECO branding to Core Transit Service updates: Highway 6 ●Capacity Improvements: More buses at peak times, more shadow buses ●More Convenience: More express routes to and from places like Walmart, Vail and Edwards ●Extended Hours: First Bus departs Lake Creek at 5:00 a.m., 40 minutes earlier than last year. ●Last bus departs VTC at 01:05 a.m., almost 2 hours later than last year. This bus will continue on to stops in Gypsum. Service updates: Valley Route •Capacity Improvements: More buses at peak times, more shadow buses, and more express routes from Eagle –some of which now include Sylvan Lake and 5th & Wall •More Convenience:New stops on some routes at Chamonix (Conoco)in West Vail and Cascade Village •Extended Hours: First bus departs Gypsum at 5:24 a.m., Last dedicated Valley Route bus departs VTC at 11:20 p.m. (PRO TIP: the 1:05am HWY 6 bus will continue all the way to Gypsum) Service updates: Vail/BC Express •More Convenience: Extra stops at peak times at employee housing stops in Avon •Don’t Mess with Success: We’ll continue to run a bus every 20 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Your guide to ride Coretransit.org •This is your one-stop hub for all transit information. •Check routes and schedules. •Sign up for service alerts. •Get the latest announcements and transit news.
