SUTTON JOHN KAUFFMAN “DOZER” DAY
WHEREAS,Stephanie Kauffman has been with the Town of Vail for 7 years and currently
serves as the Town Clerk;
WHEREAS, she and her husband, Sackett Kauffman, celebrated the birth of Sutton John
on Wednesday, February 12, 2025;
WHEREAS,Sutton’s first brave experience was a helicopter ride to Denver Children's
Hospital while mom Stephanie had to drive over Vail Pass in a record snow storm;
WHEREAS,Town Council and staff felt it fitting to call Sutton by the nickname “Dozer” to
honor that difficult journey and recognize both his and his parent’s strength and
perseverance;
WHEREAS,Sutton aka “Dozer” is now a healthy, happy and growing baby boy in the Vail
Valley and warmly welcomed into the Town of Vail Family;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and Vail Town Council do herby proclaim that
Sutton Kauffman’s nickname to be “Dozer”!
