System Testing Section 2 ................... Battery Backup Calculations Attachment A............ Equipment List Attachment B ...........Equipment Specifications Section #1 - System Testing Part #1— Outdoor Antenna Testing Two measurement will be taken from the outside donor antenna, on for the receive signal from the nearest donor site, and another for the noise level. These two readings will need to meet the following requirements: - Signal level between -60 dB and -70 dB - Signal to noise ratio of 25 dB or better Part #2 — Indoor Testing Each floor plan will be divided into 50' by 50' foot grids, in the middle of each grid will be a test point. For Areas such as basements, parking structures, and other high hazard areas the grid will be reduced to 25' by 25' Each grid point will be measured with an Anritsu 332D site master spectrum analyzer. Two measurements will be taken at each point, one for the actual signal reading, and on for the signal noise reading. These measurements will then be saved and printed for evaluation. In order for the test point to pass it must meet the following requirements: - Signal level of -95 dB or better - Signal to noise ratio of 25dB or better Part #3 — Documentation of testing 1. All signal readings will be saved and documented as printed screen shots from the spectrum analyzer. (See Appendix B for Sample Screen Shots) 2. Two screen shots will be provided for each test point, one for the actual signal reading, and one for the noise level reading. 3. Signal measurements will also be recorded a spreadsheet showing the test point, signal level, noise level, and signal to noise ratio. 4. Gain levels of the amplification system will be documented for future reference. DSP filtering provides unmatched selectivity and can be finely tuned to help overcome difficult RF problems such as adjacent channel interference. The CSI Digital Repeater permits re- tuning of multiple passband configurations, locally or remotely, with virtually no downtime. The Graphical User Model Numbers Interface allows for effortless set up and monitoring via a standard web browser. • CSI - DSP85 -PS7 Product Features Public Safety 700 MHz • CSI - DSP85 -PSS8 Software Defined Filters Public Safety 800 MHz High Selectivity • CSI - DSP85N -PS7 • DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology provides a higher standard Public Safety 700 MHz of filter characteristics NEMA -4 enclosure •CSI - DSP85N -PSS8 Spectrum Agility Public Safety 800 MHz • Change filters locally or remotely NEMA -4 enclosure • Up to 6 non - contiguous passbands • Band edges are user - defined Change Filters on Demand Access Modem Kits: • Change filter configurations on demand • CSI - DSPMOD -D -EK /CDMA • Up to 6 non - contiguous passbands CDMA Ethernet Interface • Install new filters to meet changing spectrum requirements • CSI - DSPMOD -D -EK /GSM Network Protection GSM Ethernet Interface UPS: • Oscillation detection • CS4 • Automatic Gain Control Battery backup, 2 hours • Overload Shutdown single band, 1 hour dual band • CS48- 985 -601 Remote Monitoring and Control Battery backup, 4 hours • Remote query of power output, AGC status, gain, and amplifier single band, 2 hours dual band • Filter configuration remotely selectable Mounting kit: • Security control for remote and local access • CSI -RWM -DSP85 • Major and minor alarms 19" rack or wall mountable • Shutdown /restart control • CDMA or GPRS modem compatible • SNMP capable (tp CS' ortlir yuciatrin, inc. Filters are easily changed in the field or remotely, minimizing the need for forklift repeater upgrades. Passband filters can have independent gain settings within contiguous or non - contiguous frequency sets. Filter Selectivity Filter bandwidth and guard bands are designed to optimize signal quality and unwanted signal rejection. Exceptional adjacent channel rejection performance is realized with the digital filtering, greater than 40 dB signal rejection can be obtained in as little as 350 kHz from passband edge. Adjacent Channel Interference Mitigation CSI DSP permits fine tuning of band edges to eliminate or mitigate adjacent band interferers. Units cou- ple off a defined fraction of signal from 5 to 30 dB with minimal reflections or loss. The wide frequency range allows use with multiband antennas and leaky cable systems and in wireless base stations. With minimal sol- der joints and an air dielectric, the dissipative loss has been minimized and reliability enhanced. These Directional Couplers may also be used as Unequal Dividers or Tappers, which are usual- ly specified by the power ratio between outputs. For convenience these are shown in the table.
