Is vent termination far enough away from tree for Solo 175 with direct vent side wall termination kit? In the vent supplement it says to locate the vent termination where flue vapors will not damage surrounding shrubs, plants or air conditioning equipment. The homeowner said the front of her home is acceptable for the installation of the vent. However, I am not sure how far the vent should be away from the tree. Mostly what you are looking for are shrubs that are against the house or directly in front of the vent termination. With 6 feet of clearance it is presumed that there is enough dilution of the flue gases that you will not harm the plant or tree.
