BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS
Architectural Comments:
1 Revise cover sheet to indicate the correct building construction type. The construction type is I-B per Town of Vail records.
2 A1.1 shows the vestibule 170 room. Please clarify if this is proposed as part of this permit application. Provide complete plans as necessary, or eliminate from drawings if not part
of this application.
3 Revise A1.1 to indicate the square footage and occupant load factor for the bar per IBC table 1004.1.1. Concentrated use occupant load factor. Revise notes and egress plan as necessary
4 Revise A1.1 to indicate locations of maximum occupant load signage per IBC 1004.3
5 Revise A1.1 to indicate all minimum exit widths at doors per IBC 1005. A 36” door with a 32” net clear opening will accommodate maximum 160 occupant load.
6 Revise A1.1 and door schedule to indicate panic hardware per 1008.1.10 on all doors serving 50 or more occupants
7 Revise plans to show details for the accessible service counter, and accessible seating areas at the bar per IBC ch. 11 and ANSI 117.1 2003

9 Provide minimum door clearances, 48” plus door width for doors in series per ANSI 117.1 2003 at the bar vestibule.
10 Revise A5.1 fire rated wall assemblies to indicate the screw fastening requirements for the drywall.
11 Include plans for the relocation of the roll-down fire door on the bridge above the won door.
12 Include the fire protection engineer’s stamped plans for the proposed atrium reconfiguration.
13 The 6” step is not permitted in the means of egress from the bar per IBC 1003.5
14 Indicate accessible signage locations at the restrooms per ANSI 117.1 2003
Structural Comments:
15 Include structural engineer’s analysis on the plans for the proposed floor live loads at the new assembly and library rooms. IBC table 1607.1
16 Include structural engineer’s analysis on the plans for the support of the won door.
Plumbing Comments:
17 Provide complete plumbing plans stamped by a Colorado State Licensed Engineer
Mechanical Comments:
18 Provide complete mechanical plans stamped by a Colorado State Licensed Engineer. Include complete ventilation calculations per 2009 IMC
Electrical Comments:
19 Provide complete electrical plans stamped by a Colorado State Licensed Engineer. Include power, lighting, load calculations, panel schedule and Comcheck lighting compliance on the
plans.
