Complete dimensions, drawing scale noted, use of each room shown on the plans. Location of mechanical equipment clearly shown ❑ Building Elevations N,W,S,E elevations. Show all proposed exterior finish materials, guardrails, windows, doors, and finish grades. ❑ Window sizes and operation types. Specified on the floor plans or elevations. ❑ Stairways, guards, and handrails Show all stairway details with rise /run, handrail and guard details ❑ Roof plan. Show all roof covering materials (Class A covering required) and underlayment, roof pitch ❑ Building cross sections. Show roof, wall, floor construction assemblies and insulation R values. The purpose of our site visit was to observe the soils exposed in the foundation excavation for the proposed residence, and compare them with the findings and recommendations of the Soil and Foundation Investigation under the same project number, dated May 24, 2007. The excavation consisted of benches and trenches, stepping into the lot. The cuts ranged from 4 feet to about 12 feet. The soils exposed in the foundation excavation were consistent with the findings and recommendations of the above named soils report. They consisted of sandy gravel with large sandstone boulders and sandstone bedrock. The bottom of the excavation was compacted. No soft spots were reported. The soil exposed at the bottom of the foundation excavation is suitable for the design bearing capacity of 2000psf, as recommended in the above -named soil's report. This report has been prepared in accordance with locally accepted professional Geotechnical engineering standards for similar methods of testing and soil conditions at this time. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied. We recommend compliance with the recommendations of the above -named soil report during the remainder of the construction, specifically with the sections on drainage, grading and irrigation. The heat loss for Side A is approximately 115,740 Btuh and the heat loss for Side B is approximately 80,710 Btuh. Calculations are based on 70 °F interior temperature (50 °F at the garage) and -20° exterior design temperature. This is a new primary/secondary project that will receive a high efficiency boiler plant to accommodate the project energy loads for each half. There are eleven (11) zones of radiant floor heat on Side A and seven (7) zones of radiant floor heat on Side B. Side A will have approximately 500 square feet of snowmelt and Side B will have approximately 1,080 square feet of snowmelt. In addition, there will a 990,000 Btuh input boiler dedicated to approximately 5,000 square feet of shared driveway. There will be one high efficiency boiler per each side rated at 400,000 Btuh (nominal) input serving the radiant floor heat, provide energy for domestic hot water production, and provide energy for snowmelt. There will be one 120 gallon storage tank with internal heat exchanger for each side for domestic hot water production. Each side will also receive a split system air conditioning system.
