BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS Architectural Comments: 1 Revise permit application to provide an accurate construction valuation. If an accurate construction valuation is not provided, it will be determined by the Building Official. 2 Provide plans stamped by a Colorado State Licensed Architect 3 Provide separate plan sets showing only work proposed in unit #3 4 Revise title page of plans to indicate applicable building codes as adopted by Town of Vail. 5 Revise plans to provide compete building sections showing all insulation R-values per IRC table N1102.1. Show vapor barrier on the warm side of the insulation as well. 6 Revise plans to provide a complete building section to showing all exterior wall construction per IRC R703 7 Provide complete party wall construction details with UL or other fire resistive details per IRC R302.2 8 Revise plans to provide a window schedule. Indicate safety glazing, U-value, and egress windows on the schedule. 9 Revise plans to provide a fixed ladder at the window wells per IRC R310.2.1 10 Revise plans to provide a guardrail at the window well adjacent to patio areas. IRC R 312 11 Indicate on plans for carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to be installed throughout the existing dwelling unit per IRC R315 12 Revise window well section and details. Structural plans show concrete window wells. 13 Provide a class A roof covering material on all new roofs. Include details on plans. TOV ordinance. 14 Show all roof drains and overflow scuppers per IRC R903.4 15 Show grading and drainage on the site plans per IRC R401.3 16 Provide dimension for ceiling height on the plans per IRC R305 Structural Comments: 17 Provide structural plans stamped and signed by a Colorado State Licensed Engineer 18 Complete the attached Town of Vail special inspection form for required special inspections: Structural steel, welding, helical piers. Plumbing Comments: 19 Provide plumbing plans for new bathroom and any other proposed work per 2009 IPC and 2009 IFGC Mechanical Comments: 20 Provide mechanical plans per 2009 IMC. Electrical Comments: 21 Provide complete electrical plans with panel schedule and load calculations per 2008 NEC
