We are providing the following responses to the code comments dated 3/23/07.
Comment #10: We are including with this letter the ComCheck compliance certificate for
the lighting.
Comment #11: We have surveyed the existing space. We have included two panel
schedules with this correspondence. The first panel schedule is the existing loads for
when the space was a liquor store. The second panel schedule are the loads planned for
the new space as a print shop. As noted on the second panel schedule we are reducing
the actual electrical load by 20 amps, 208V, 3P.

Summarcj of the Work. Work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment, devices 4 supervision required to complete the genera I, mechanical 4
electrical work for remodeling the existing structure as shown on the Drawings 4 noted
herein.
Work Not In This Contract (N.i.C). Coordinate w/ the Tenant any 4 all items of work not i.
the contract, work to be performed by others or by Tenant 4 items which will be
furnished or installed separate from the Contract.
Codes Permits Fees Taxes. Perform all work to conform w/ all applicable codes,
ordinances, covenants 4 local interpretations thereto. Contractor shall obtain 4 pay
for all necessary fees, permits 4 taxes.
Quality .Assurance; Use an adequate number of skilled workmen who are thoroughly
trained 4 experienced in the necessary crafts 4 the methods needed for proper
performance of the work
Manufacturer's Specifications 4 Industry Standards: Product handling, protection 4
installation of all materials manufactured items 4 equipment to be in strict accordance
w/ manufacturer's or industry agency's latest recommendations 4 specifications.
Site Review. Prior to submittal to bid, Contractor shall visit the site, 4 together w/
Tenant thoroughly investigate existing conditions, special requirements 4 procedures
to be followed. Field verify limits of construction.
Environment 4 Pro ertcj: Perform all work throughout the project necessary to limit
pollution 4 to protect the existing surrounding environment. Protect all existing
surfaces 4 elements not designated for removal. Provide necessary temporary
covering, safety guards 4 barriers as required. Control site access. Remove debris
waste material as the work progresses. Maintain the premises in a neat, safe 4 clean
condition.
Existing Utiilties 4 Conditions. Locate 4 protect all existing utilities prior to beginninc
work Maintain existing structure in a safe 4 weather -tight condition.
Temmporarcj Facilities: The Tenant will furnish temporary power 4 water for construction
purposes. Contractor must examine existing electrical conditions 4 verify that his use
of power will in no way damage the existing system.
Temporarcj Enclosures; Provide temporary dust 4 debris enclosures to seal the work
area from the remainder of the existing facility. Provide temporary enclosures of
plywood 4 plastic membrane as work progresses 4 adequately prevent collapse of
adjacent materials 4 which will permit construction of the Work to the arrangement shown
on the Drawings.
Demolition: Where existing construction is to be removed, such removal shall be done
carefully, 4 any damage to adjacent surfaces -to- remain shall be patched 4 repaired tc
match existing. Make such explorations 4 probes as are necessary to ascertain any
required protective measures before proceeding w/ demolition.
Salvage. Except for existing construction to be demolished, at no time shall
Contractor assume salvage w/o written permission from the Tenant.
Cleaning._ During progress of the Work, do not allow accumulation of scrap, waste
material 4 other items not required for construction. At completion of the Work,
remove all surplus, 4 waste material, dirt, stains, smudges 4 make minor repairs 4 touchup
as may be necessary to make the project ready for occupancy.
