Box 2670 Eagle County, Colorado Vail, CO 81658 Project No. 08105 Dear Ryan: At your request, on September 26, 2008, ��ve visited the construction site at 95 Forest Road, Town of Vail, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visit was to observe and test the soil exposed in the foundation excavation for a proposed addition. The excavation consisted of one large bench un the northwest corner of the existing residence. The bench was approximately 15 feet by 20 feet. The depths of the cuts varied from about 5 feet on the north side of the excavation to about 8 feet on the south side of the excavation. The soil exposed at the bottom of the bench consisted of shale and weathered shale bedrock. The soil exposed in the foundation excavation for the proposed adc�ition is suitable for the designed maximum allowable soil bearing pressure of 3000 psf. The bottom of the excavation was not compacted. Soft spots were not reported. This report has been prepared according to locally accepted professional geotechnical engineering standards. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
