Thank you, dh >>> "Kevin Kosters" <kkosters@elightelectric.com> 5/7/2009 3:37 PM >>> Mike I am sorry I could have jumped the gun on this I was just coming up there and I thought I would take care of it. We have sent the TOV the updated "E" type license as of today. With that being said after reviewing JCI subcontract it is in there scope of work to pull permits so I am assuming they have the S license for this job which is required. In addition to this E Light will apply for an S license in addition to JCI since we are performing the EMT installation. Sorry for the confusion. I have an application for permit, submitted by your company to begin conduit and wire installation for the fire alarm installation in two mock up units at Solaris. I am unable approve the issuance of this permit based on the following concerns: 1. This permit application was submitted under Town of Vail contractor registration number of 416-e. A search of Town of Vail listings of registered contractors show this license having expired 2-28-09. An "E" type contractors license is not sufficient for fire alarm installation (including conduit installation and wirepull). 2. Vail Fire & Emergency Services fire alarm installation standards require that all companies engaging in fire alarm installation obtain an "S" type contractors license. This will require a contractors license application be applied for as a separate license, not associated with your "E" type license. In order to obtain an "S" type license, the applicant, or an agent in his employ, must possess a minimum of NICET II certification, or a suitable equivalent, acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction (VFES). In addition, for a project of this size, a preconstruction meeting would be required to discussed details and requirements particular to this project. Please do not hesitate to call if you require more information. Thank you for your attention in this matter. I look forward to speaking with you.
