Fwd: Solaris Temp Heat
M08-0280 has been set up. I called Michael at Design Mech and left him a voicemail asking him to submit a mechanical permit application form. I also let him know that there are corrections
from Fire and to contact Mike McGee directly about those, so hopefully he can submit it all together. Thanks.

Jen,
Can you change the temp heat mechanical permit application to a separate mechanical permit number under the Solaris project in Permits+. Please email Fire and Building team with the
permit number once assigned so we can enter comments.
thanks

Chirs,
Can you make this call?

The permit app for the Temp heat plan is shown as M08-0080. The description is shown as:
"The 4 PIPE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS INCLUDING RADIANT FLOOR HEATING IN CONDO UNITS AND SNOWMELT PIPING IN CONDO BALCONIES AND DRIVEWAYS. STAIRWELL AND ELEVATOR PRESURIZATION FANS
AND ASSOCIATED DUCTWORK. CORE AND SHELL HVAC CONNECTIONS FOR RETAIL SPACE"
Should this be a separate permit?
The temp heat is not part of the original scope of M08-0080.
They have apparently installed the temp heat piping anyway.
The plans I have do not show the equipment, the valves, the heaters, the hose, nor the means of securing the 6 inch pipe to the retaining wall at the riser or the methods proposed to
secure the 6 inch pipe to the "back of curb."
They initially indicated they wanted to pour flowfill over the steel pipe. I explained there is a reason we sleeve steel pipe through concrete.
I will enter my comments and deny the permit once I know for sure what permit number to use.
Thanks,
Mike
