● Submit two complete sets of revised construction documents containing the requested information with all plan revision items clouded or otherwise identified.
● Please respond in writing to each comment with a response letter addressing each comment.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS
1 Clearly show new/proposed versus existing construction on the plans. Clarify scope of work proposed on the plans.
2 Indicate on plans for carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to be installed per IRC R314 and R315
3 Include construction details for the wall indicated as new block wall on the plans. Include plans for any other proposed structural work. IBC ch. 16
4 Show crawl space venting, or show conditioned crawl space with vapor barrier and R13 perimeter insulation per IRC R408.1 or R408.3. If vented crawl space, show R13 insulation between
crawl space and conditioned area per 2009 IECC.
5 Show minimum crawl space access per IRC R408.4
6 Clarify scope of work in bedroom, living, kitchen areas.
7 Indicate scope of electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work proposed, include plans showing scope of work.
