Re: 4898 Meadow Lane, Vail, Colorado, legally described as Lot 15, Block 7, Bighom
Subdivision Fifth Addition, Eagle County, Colorado
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am the owner of 4898 Meadow Lane Unit B.
Be advised that the owners of 4898 Meadow Lane Unit A, Mark and Jacqueline Scott, have
proposed an expansion to their premises. Any expansion or exterior improvement to either Unit
A or Unit B requires the consent of the owner of the other Unit. The Townhouse Declaration
recorded against the subject property on December 12, 1978 in Book 279 at Page 583,
Reception No. 175948, provides in pertinent part:
"No owner shall make or suffer any structural or design change (including a color
scheme change) either permanent or impermanent and of any type or nature
whatever to the exterior of any improvement on the property without obtaining the
prior written consent thereto from the other owner."
For a number of bona fide reasons, I have declined to give consent to any expansion or
alteration to the exterior of Unit A and have so advised the Scotts in writing.
Please do not process any building plans, permits and the like for Unit A, as any such work is
effectively prohibited by the private covenant described above and any such processing will only
raise the expectations and costs to the Scotts.
