Description
The IP Fire SeriesT"' control system provides for Analog Loop Modules
(ALM's)that may be installed throughout a protected facility in any number
up to the IPF system maximum of 50 modules. IPF SeriesT"" ALM modules Features
offer analog addressable signaling line(SLC)circuits that may each have up
to 126 detectors or 126 addressable control devices in any combination.

addressable devices that are a means of connecting and identifying mounting in 4" square boxes

DXP-PIM and DXP-MPIM
The Point Identification Module (DXP-PIM)and the Mini Point Identification

DXP-PID and DXP-MPID
The Priority Input Device(DXP-PID)and the Mini Priority Input Device(DXP-

DXP-PIM and DXP-PID are designed to fit a standard 4" box. NEMA OS 1- MEA: 294-95-E-4
1989 or equivalent. DXP-MPIM and DXP-MPID are contained in a simple
two-piece plastic box suitable to fit into a single-gang junction box. These
devices each have 6 flying leads(18 AWG wire).
These devices all use end of line monitoring resistance of 47k'S2.

Enqineer Specification
The contractor shall furnish and install,where indicated on the plans, addressable interface devices for the
monitoring and supervision of contact type devices connected to the Fire Alarm control. The devices shall monitor a
normally open dry contact. The addressable interface devices shall communicate to the main fire control via the
analog addressable circuit.The addressable interface device must be UL listed and UL listed as compatible with the
AsBuilt IP Fire Series network fire controls. The addressable interface device shall be As Built Engineered Systems
part numbers DXP-PIM, DXP-MPIM, DXP-ID and DXP-MPID.
