Permit Fee Schedule
Permit Fees are collected when the permit is being issued. A Plan Review Deposit is only required for projects with a
valuation of $100,000.00 or more. See the reverse for Building Permit Fees.
Instructions for calculating BUILDING permit fees (see pages 2 -4 for other permits)
1. Determine the valuation (labor & materials)
2. Using the total project valuation, calculate the Base Permit Fee using the table below
3. Calculate the Plan Review Fee (% of the permit fee)*
4. Calculate the Construction Use tax (see formula below)
5. Calculate the Recreation Fees (building permits adding new square footage only
Add $4.00 for Will Call ** Inspection
An example is provided at the bottom of the Building Permit Fees section.
*For any projects with a valuation of $100,000.00 or more, the plan review fee will be a deposit required at the time of
permit application.
* *Will Call Inspection: When calling for your inspection, simply state that you would like "Will Call" and leave the best con-
tact name and number. The inspector will call you on his or her way to your site.

Plan Review Fee: 65% of Permit Fee
Construction Use Tax: Valuation less $10,000.00, divided by 2, then multiplied by 4 %.
Valuation - $10,000 X .04 = $ Construction Use Tax

If the valuation of your project is less than $10,000.00, there is no use tax. For projects with multiple permits (plumbing,
electrical, etc) only the building permit will be charged the Construction Use Tax. For projects without a building permit,
the first permit applied for will be charged the tax regardless of type. Fire Alarm & Sprinkler permits are exempt.
