Thecontrol panel’s notification circuit isconnected to one of the inputs on the5495. The control panel’s notificationcircuit end-of-line resistor is alsoconnected across two terminals on the5495, which provides supervisionbetween the 5495 and the fire controlpanel. Polarized audible and/or visualnotification devices are then connectedtothe 5495 signal circuits using the 4.7k end-of-line resistors provided.Since the 5495 draws very little powerfrom the control, it is possible toconnect one 5495 to each notificationcircuit on the control panel and stillprovide full supervision of thenotification circuits all the way back tothe control panel.
