This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States Fire Protection to accommodate the renovation.
Required modifications to the existing CPVC, wet fire sprinkler system are as follows:
Relocate (1) pendant sprinkler head in closet.
Relocate (1) pendant head in bathroom.
Change existing sprinkler head in laundry room to higher temperature rated sprinkler head.
Add (1) sprinkler head in garage storage room.
Add (2) heads in new bump out addition in residence.
Add (1) head in hallway due to remodel.
All work performed will be in compliance with NFPA 13 and local requirements.
Any new sprinklers will match the existing sprinkler types and any added materials will be compatible
with the existing system
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970 - 618 -3294.
