We understand that the trees will be planted on Riverbend property for the most part. We request that the plantings be similar to the one in place now that blocks the view of the southern most building. In other words we want to ensure that it blocks the view of the buildings. We've got a new solution that is more in line with TOV desires. We plan to plant about 20 trees (spruce, fir and bristlecone pine) to provide more effective and attractive screening (and we'll remove the old fence entirely). I was checking to see if we'd need a minor exterior alteration permit. The DRB website states that "Proposals to add landscaping do not require DRB approval unless they involve the addition of patios, water features, grading, or the addition of retaining walls." Since this work won't require any grading or walls, nor any of the other triggers for the permit, I'm assuming I can go ahead without the permit, but I thought I'd check with you to confirm this and keep you in the loop.
