Determine with the owner or manager of the property, which alarm company services the system for them Become familiar with the different components that are associated with the fire alarm system and how they operate before the DEMO begins. Never paint a smoke detector, thermal detector, or any other component of the fire alarm system and never paint a sprinkler head. For larger projects, please contact the Vail Fire Department so that we can work with you in determining what needs to be done to alter or "Zone Out' spe- cific areas of the alarm system for the structure. The existing system is an NFS -640 addressable fire control panel with voice evacuation. As a part of this remodel we will be installing all new addressable device and speakers for general evacuation. The scope of work will be to add new FAPT -851 addressable smoke detectors and B200SR sounder bases to the South Entry, the four bedrooms, the corridor directly outside of the bedrooms, the living room area and the North entry to the unit for a total of eight (8) new addressable smoke detectors. We will be adding speakers to each bedroom and the living room for a total of five (5) new speaker only devices. This is a retro -fit of the unit not all of the ceiling and walls are going to be removed as a part of construction. Actual construction for this unit is limited to the kitchen area. Because of this it will be impossible to install these new devices in conduit.
