The reinforcing steel was observed for specified bar size, lap splice, spacing tolerance, and clearance from forms. One hairpin was observed to not properly tied in place. Andy with PCL and J.D. Steel were informed and corrected the problem immediately. The reinforcing steel then appeared to be in general conformance with the project plans and specifications. We also observed post tension tendon stressing and measured elongations for Level 1, Pour 3, Level 2, Pour 3, Level 3, Pour 3, and Level 4, Pour 4. Jeffro with PCL was immediately informed and corrected the issue. The holes then appeared to generally conform with the project plans, specifications, and manufacturers recommendations. We also observed the reinforcing steel for columns 416 and 417 on Level 1. The reinforcing steel was observed for bar sizing, spacing tolerances, lap length, and clearance. We re-observed the post tension tendons and reinforcing steel for placed Level 1, Pour 6 deck. Upon our arrival to the site we were informed that the pour was going to start at the southwest corner of the deck, as the reinforcing steel had not yet been corrected or re-observed in the opposite corner. While we were observing other portions of the proposed deck we observed that the pour had switched sides and concrete was being placed where we had not yet observed the proposed corrections to the reinforcing steel. The reinforcing steel was previously placed in the wrong locations, we were unable to determine if it had been moved to the correct layout. The corrections could not be observed from Gridlines AAA to TT. for the pour. We also re-observed the PT tendons, all of which appeared to be placed in general accordance with the project plans and specifications. The reinforcing steel with the exception of the previously mentioned areas appeared to be in general accordance with the project plans and specifications. Alex with J.D. Steel and Andy with PCL were notified. The reinforcing steel was also observed for columns 420, 421, & 425 on Level 1, and shear wall 7 for Level 6. The reinforcing steel was observed for bar sizing, spacing, tolerances, lap splice, and clearances. Several hairpins were observed to be missing in shear wall 7. Manny with J.D. Steel was notified and immediately corrected the problem. The reinforcing steel placed for these columns generally appeared to be placed in general accordance with the project plans and specifications. Andy with PCL was notified of our observations.
