We re-observed the reinforcing steel and post tension tendons placed for Level 3, Pour 4. We observed that J.D. Steel had corrected the discrepancies listed on our 5/4/2009 report. The reinforcing steel and post tension tendons appeared to be placed in general accordance with the project plans and site specifications. In addition, we observed reinforcing steel placed by J.D. Steel for Level 3 columns 429, 430, 433, & 442. We observed the reinforcing steel for bar size, spacing, clearance, and lap splice. The reinforcing steel for bar size, spacing, clearances, and lap splices. The reinforcing steel appeared to be placed in general accordance with the project plans and specifications. We also observed holes drilled by PCL on the Upper Basement Level at Gridlines MM-65.4. PCL utilized a wire brush and a shop vacuum to clan the holes. We observed the holes for depth, diameter, and the overall condition. The holes appeared to be in general accordance with the project plans and site specifications of 4" depth for #6 bar using a Hilti RE500 epoxy. Andy with PCL was informed of our observations. We observed the reinforcing steel for proper bar sizing, spacing tolerances, lap splices, and form clearances. Several bars were observed to misplaced or missing. Manny with J.D. Steel and Andy with PCL were notified and the bars will be re- observed prior to concrete placement. The post tension tendons were observed for quantity, spacing, profile heights, back up bars, bursting steel, and the overall condition of the tendons. A few profiles were observed to be incorrect, several back up bars, and bursting steel were missing. A kink in one tendon was observed and a discrepancy in the plans was noted. Manny with J.D.
