Subject: Lotker residence
Michael- I reviewed the plans you gave me for the Lotker residence and I have some questions and comments that need
to be addressed:
1. We need a site plan for the fire department and public works for their review. That being said,we really need a
survey showing existing then proposed wall locations in order to truly determine what the elevations are.
2. The retaining walls must be 6 feet tall or less. I show the upper wall as much taller than that. Please revise.
3. The gas meter location needs to be determined. It shows as TBD. Also,gas meters must have protection above
to prevent gas line damage from falling snow. Please show a new small roof or cover.
4. Are there any other walls on site? If so,what material? All walls should match. Can you send me a picture of
the material you want to use for the walls?
5. Prior to this renovation,was the un-finished room and the bedroom at full head height? Have you increased
head height with this project? I don't think it's a major problem, but I need to understand whether these rooms
counted as square footage before. Do you have an existing floor plan?
6. I need a final closet location. Is the closet already there? If not, how tall is the closet?What does it look like on
the elevations?
7. What is the material of the newly exposed building wall?Same as existing? Different materials?Colors?
8. On the notes on page S2, the first and last notes need to be rectified and removed. We cant approximate on
plans.
Please review this letter and give me a call to discuss. I need updated plans and I will then route to Public works to
review the walls, and fire,to review access changes caused by the walls. Let me know if you have questions.
