The documents submitted for this project have been reviewed for compliance with the 2003
International Building Code, 2003 International Residential Code, 2003 International Mechanical
Code, 2003 International Fuel Gas Code, 2003 International Plumbing Code, 2003 International
Energy Conservation Code and 2005 National Electrical Code as modified and adopted by the Town of
Vail.
The following comments will need to be addressed prior to issuance of a building permit:
For processmg:
• Please submit four complete sets of revised construction documents containinQ the requested
information with all plan revision items clouded or otherwise identified. Partial plan sets or
loose plan sheets are not accepted.
. Please respond in writing to each comment by marking the attached list or creatinq a response
letter. Indicate which plan sheet, detail, specification, or calculation shows the requested
information. Please send revisions to the attention of the plans examiner with the buildina
permit application number noted.
• Please be sure to include on the resubmittal the engineer's or architect's°wet"stamp, siqnature,
registration number and date on the cover page of any structural calculations, all structural
details and structural sheets of the plans. For commercial or multi-family proJects all sheets of
the plans must be stamped.
Architectural Comments:
' Amend sheet A100 to indicate the occupancy type per 2003 IBC ch. 3. Plans indicate -2.
I have amended sheet A100 to indicate occupancy type R-2.
2 Amend sheet A100 to indicate the correct fire resistive required separations. Dwelling unit separation
is required per IBC 708,711, corridor separation per IBC 1016.1 and shaft construction per IBC 707
I have amended sheet A100 to include dwelling unit separation (at least 1 hour), corridor separation (.5
hour), and shaft construction (2 hour).
3 Amend floor plans to include wall type tags or notes to correspond the wall type details shown on
A100. Show fire resistive wall information at corridor walls, shaft walls and walls separating dwelling
units
I have amended the Floor Plans to include wall type information and to correspond with the details on
sheet A100.
4 Include floor/ceiling construction assembly details at all new ceiling areas.
I added details to sheet A100 indicating floor ceiling assembly- typical for all new and existing ceiling
areas. The details include existing assembly, new assembly, and penetrations.
Please refer to the cover sheet for information on resubmitting plans. in order to avoid delays in issuance of
a permit,please check all requested information is included with the resubmitted qlans. Please submit
revised plans as a complete set. Partial plan resubmittals will not be reviewed.
