Hey Mark,
As you are aware, in October the Town of Vail authorized Highland Builders to remove trees on the Town of Vail owned
Gore Creek Plaza on behalf of Blu’s Restaurant and the Gore Creek Plaza Building owners. A condition of approval from
the Vail Town Council (i.e. the property owner) and the design review approval for application DRB100470 (see
attached) is that a landscape plan/tree replacement plan must be submitted for review and approval. The deadline for
submitting this plan was December 1, 2010.

The Community Development Department did not receive a proposed tree replacement plan by the December 1
deadline. If you have not already done so, please address this issue immediately.

Please find attached a copy of the design review approval for the removal of three cottonwood trees adjacent to the
Blu’s Restaurant. Please note the conditions of approval that all construction staging and access be coordinated with
the Town of Vail Public Works Department and that a proposed landscape plan (including a tree replacement proposal)
be submitted for further Town of Vail review by no later than Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
