Town of Vail Design Review Board Vail, Colorado 81657 January 10, 2011 RE: Halpert Addition, Lot 6, Block 1, Vail Village Eighth Filing, Vail, Colorado. 1054 Homestake Circle To whom it may concern, The Owner of the existing single family residence at 1054 Homestake Circle would like to add an additional single car garage to the existing garage at the western end of his residence. This proposal was reviewed and approved as part of a previous DRB submittal in 2005 ( DRB050012 and DRB050162). A portion of that approved submittal (entry enclosure and bath addition) was constructed in 2005. The garage addition was never undertaken. The Owner would now like to pursue the addition of that previously approved garage. Previous approvals have since expired, and this is being submitted as a new submittal. With this submittal, the Owner has made a couple of modifications to the drawings: 1. The existing wood shake roofing is being replaced with a new fiberglass asphalt shingle roofing product (as noted). 2. The proposed lower level storage (below garage) access door has been relocated from the north wall to the west wall, with the associated at grade steps and landings. 3. Brick veneer columns each side of the new garage door have been eliminated. All other aspects of the previous submittal are as previously proposed and approved, and all new materials and finishes being proposed are to match existing (except roofing as noted).
