Dear lonathon,
Thank you for meeting with me to discuss a vehicle parking matter at the Arrabelle at Vail Square Hotel.
Vehicle parking in the porte cochere at the Arrabelle at Vail Square Hotel is governed by the Approved
Development Plan for the hotel. Pursuant to the Approved Plan, the two brick paver areas located along
the southerly edge of the porte cochere shall not to be used for vehicle parking.
During the development review process for the Arrabelle at Vail Square, the applicant, Vail Resorts
Development Company, committed to the Town of Vail that the two paver areas would not be used for
vehicle parking. Instead, these areas are to be landscaped to provide a visual buffer and screen the
lights and activities within the porte cochere and from the adjacent uses. Large potted evergreen trees
were approved to be located within these areas in lieu of planted vegetation.
Pursuant to our meeting on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, the Town of Vail and the Arrabelle at Vail
Square Hotel agree to the following:
"Hotel courtesy vehicles may be parked in that portion of the two brick paver areas as
depicted on the attached exhibited dated February 16, 2011. Parking shall not be
permitted in the cross-hatched areas. Instead, a minimum of one large potted evergreen
tree shall be located in the center of each hatched area."
Any violation to the terms of our agreement shall be considered a violation of Title 12, of the Zoning
Regulations of the Town of Vail and may be punishable pursuant to Title 1, Chapter 4 of the Vail
Municipal Code.
