COMPLETED FOUNDATION EXCAVATION SHALL BE INSPECTED BY A GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER TO CONFIRM THAT THE NATURAL GRAVEL IS EXPOSED AND SUITABLE FOR UNIFORM SUPPORT OF THE STRUCTURE. UNEVEN SETTLEMENT OF THE STRUCTURE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO THE FUNCTION OF THE WATER FEATURE. UNIFORM DENSITY AND MOISTURE CONTENT SHALL BE CHECKED AS NOTED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. 12.
