The Administrative Modification and the Memorandum of Understandings will be submitted by the Architect of record and reviewed by both CIA and the Architect for final agreement. The resolution of Phased Approach Criteria as identified in the August 17, 2006 comment letter from CIA is the subject of the comments that HGA has sent to CIA dated 10/19/2006 and is awaiting establishment of a telephone conference call that HGA has been trying to set up with CIA for discussion. A phased permit has already been requested for grading and excavation. Submittals and replies to comment letters have been reviewed and answered as the comments are received. The building permit has already been applied for. We have only requested that the phasing include the grading and excavation as one phase and the remainder of the permit as the final phase. Please be more specific here as we are already in the process. A list of documents for a separate phased permit approach for Grading and Excavation should be a requirement of the Town of Vail, which I believe has been established. As the TOV reviews the submittals we have made, additional items have been requested. We have been responsive to the requests. Only adjacent property owner sign-offs have not been submitted as this process is still on-going. If there is another list of documents that have not been requested by the TOV for submittal, please provide it as we are not aware of any additional requirements. We will strive to respond to your attached plan review comments. However, we will need your cooperation in meeting with or discussing the Life Safety, exiting and Administrative Modifications with our design professionals, Hill Glazier Architects. I'm not sure what exactly has been submitted to date. I know that some of the information requested for phased submittal has been provided, but not all as one package. I (Colorado Inspection Agency) do not have all of the information needed to complete our review. This would be to resolve the issues that were identified by the plan review comments dated 08/17/2006. Any issues identified in that comment letter that have an impact on Phased Approach Criteria need to be resolved. * A letter from the design team that identifies the requested phases and timeframes for each phase. This needs to include the projected deadline to submit each phase and the construction start of each phase. The review (Town of Vail) team will check the schedule/deadlines to verify that adequate time is provided in the schedule to perform the required reviews and responses. * Please provide a list of all documents that you intend to be part of the phased submittal. Provide this list to ensure that all components of this phase are reviewed, approved and issued for construction. For clarity I have prepared the attached document which identifies the building code review issues that are remaining and need to be resolved prior to issuance of partial permit. This document contains the exact comment and same reference number from the original code review comment letter dated 08/17/2006 and additional comments generated from review of the shoring documents.
