We discussed verbally last week that it had to do with a Canadian standard used for either the horn/strobes or the pull stations, but wanted to make sure. The cut sheets do indicate both UL and ULC approval as well as Application Notes for both U.S. and Canada. Was there a specific device we have an issue with? As always, your time and attention is deeply appreciated, RJA_TAGLINE Sean S. Donohue, P.E. RJA and/or Rybka need to explain their intent on the Stage 1 and Stage 2 configuration, because we are not likely to approve it. Ion detectors do not work at altitude and should not be included in the materials. VFES does not allow single station manual pull stations. I suggest someone may want to read the Vail Fire Dept. fire alarm standards. Lastly, the architect's review after submission to the Engineer of Record and the AHJ may lead to additional issues if any changes are made. We will not issue a permit for any work to which changes are made after we make our review, unless such changes have been submitted first to the fire protection engineer, reviewed and stamped, and then submitted to the AHJ for review. The architect cannot make changes to engineered drawings without the engineer's approval. VFES will not recognize changes we have not reviewed. I will deliver these two books back to your office.
