Peterman Asbestos Testing,Project Design, and Consulting INTRODUCI'ION: � On August 22nd,2006, an inspection/survey was conducted and 20 bulk samples were collected from the: The LandMark - 610�W.LionsHead Circle Vail,CO. 81657 The purpose of the inspection/survey was to locate and sample suspected asbestos containing materials that might be present in the Residence that is planned for demolition. The inspection was made, and the samples were collected by 3ohn R. Pete�m,an,an A.H.E.R.A. and State of Colorado Certified Asbestos Inspector. Great care was taken during the inspection and sampling to be as accurate as possible. It should be noted that minimai damage was done to the existing building stzuctures during the inspection so there is no documentation for unseen conditions or stored items. All samples were analyzed by DCM Science Lab in Wheatridge,CO. This laboratory is deemed`�roficient"in the E.P.A.Quality Assurance(QA) program for the determination of asbestos in buik materials, and is acctedited by the American Hygiene Association(AHA). - SAMPLING PROTOC4L: A random sampling scheme was used to saznple the suspect materials that were discovered. If during any future demolition or renovation work, suspect materiai is discovered that hasn't been sampled and would be disturbed, work should be halted until the material has beea tested. 3 . ; . . LionsHead Circle Vai1, CO. 81657 BUII,DING DESCRIPTION: The LandMark consists of two multi-story buildings with a connecting underground parking garage, The Tower Building is the east building with seven stories, and a garage level. The Town House building has single level � units on the first floor, and loft units on the tip levels. This survey covers the inside of the buildings. The interior walls are covered in sheetrock with a light texture, and wood paneling. Note: In some areas a texlure has been broweled over the original fr»is1i, The ceilings are sheetrock with a heavy spraY-on textiue, and twin tee concrete with the same spray-on texture. The basement area has suspended ceiling tiies throughout, and most have been replaced not long ago. The older tiles were tested in the Billy's Grill area. The floors are covered with carpet, ceramic ti1es, and sheet vinyl flooring. The sheet vinyl was not tested in this survey. The heating is provided by baseboard heaiing, and firepiaces. No suspect thermal system insulation was observed during this inspection, The garage ceiling had a spray-on fire proofing that was mosfly removed prior to this inspection. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMNIENDATIONS: Presumed Asbestos containing materials,present in thebuildings, aze as follows: 1. Spray-on ceiling texture . 2_ Sheet vinyl flooring 3. Peterman AsbestosTesting, Project Design, and eonsulting Laboratory Analysis of the bulk samples collected during this inspection inclicate that Asbestos was detected in all of the composite sheetrock samples. However,the Asbestos content is less than the Regulatory Limit (Greater than 190 Asbestos). The Asbestos content of the samples was verified by the Required Point Count Analysis. The samples collected were taken from the original areas of the buildings. If conditions are encountered that are not the original construction, additional testing c�r documentation may be requued. If the renovation work will impact on the three presumed Asbestos containing materiats listed, the P.A.C.M. must be handled as per Colo. The inspection was made, and the samples were collected by 3ohn R Peternian, an A.H.E.R.A. and State of Colorado Certi.fied Asbestos Inspector. Great care was taken during the inspection and sampling to be as accurate as possible. The Town House building has single level units on the fust floor, and loft units on the tip levels. This survey covers the inside of the bu�ldings. The interior walls are covered in sheetrock with a light texture, and wood paneling. Note: In some areas a texture has been tiroweled over the originarl,�'i�nisli, Z'he ceilings are$beetrock with a heavy spray-on texture, and twin tee concrete with the same spray-on texture. The basement area has suspended ceiling tiles throughout, and most have been replaced not long ago. The older tiles were tested in the Billy's Grill area.
