Peterman Asbestos Testing, Project Design, and Consulting INTRODUCI'ION: On August 22nd, 20()6, an inspection/survey was conducted and 20 bulk samples were collected from the: The LandMark - . 610�W. LionsHead Circle Vail,CO. 81657 The purpose of the inspection/survey was to locate and sample suspected asbestos containing materials that mig6t be presenE in the � Residence that is planned for demolition. The inspection was made, and the samples were collected by John R. Peterman, an A.H.E.R.A. and State of Colorado Certified Asbestos Inspector. Great care was taken during the inspection and sampling to be as accurate as possible. It should be noted that minimal damage was done to the existing building structures during the inspection so there is no documentation for unseen conditions or stored items. All samples were analyzed by DCM Science Lab in Wheatridge,CO. This laboratory is deemed "Proficient"in the E.P.A.Quality Assurdnce(QA) program for the determination of asbestos in bulk materials, and is accredited by the American Hygiene Association (AHA), � SAMPLING PROTOCOL: A random sam�pling scheme was used to sample the suspect materials that were discovered. If during any firture demolition or renovation work, suspect material is discovered that hasn't been sampled and would be disturbed, work should be halted until the material has been tested, 3 . . a . s ► • ` • A & D Asbestos Testing and Consulting John R. LionsHead Circle Vail, CO. 81657 BUII�DING DESCRIPTION: The LandMark consists of two multi-story buildings with a conneeti�ag underground parking garage, The Tower Building is the east building with seven stories, and a garage levei. The Town House building has single level units on the first floor,and Ioft units on the tip levels. This survey covers � t6e inside of the buildings. The interior walls are covered in sheetrock with � a light texture, and wood paneling. Note: In some areas a texiure has been trnweled over the original fin=sli. The ceilings are sheetrock with a heavy spray-on texture, and twin tee concrete with the same spray-on texture, The basement area has suspended ceiling tiles thronghout, and most have been replaced not long ago. The older tiles were tested in the B�illy's Crill area. Tbe floors are covered with carpet, ceramic tiles, and sheet vinyl flooring. The sheet vinyl was not tested in this survey. The heating is provided by baseboard heating, and fireplaces. No snspect thermat system insulation was observed during this inspection, The gardge ceiling had a spray-on fire proofing that was mostly removed prior to this inspection. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMNIENDATIONS: Presumed Asbestos coatainiag materials,present in the buildings, are as follows: 1. Spray-on ceiling texture . 2. Sheet vinyl flooring 3. Peterman AsbestosTesting, Project Design, and Consulting Laboratory Anatysis of the bulk samples collected during tlus inspection indicate that Asbestos was detected in aI1 of the composite sheetrock � samples. However,the A,sbestos content is less than the Regulatory Limit (Greater than 1% Asbestos). The.Asbestos content of the samples was verified by the Required Point Count Analysis. The saimples collected were taken from the or�ginat areas of the buildings. If conditions are encountered that are not the originat construction, additional tesking or documentation may be required. If the renovation work will impact on the three presumed Asbestos containing materials listed, the P.A.C.M. must be handled as per Colo.
