Good Afternoon Kendra-
Vail Resorts received recommendations of approval from the PEC to the Town Council on five development
applications. The five applications are major subdivision, rezoning, SDD amendment, master plan amendment, and
commercial core designation for parking requirements. The next step is Town Council.
With that said, we need to start on the draft SIA/DIA. What follows are the issues that I believe need to be addressed in
the agreement. For simplicity I’ve only stated the issues. We can discuss the specifics and terms later. In one particular
order….
Lionshead Parking Garage deed restriction, new transit facility, Metro-District service plan, Red Sandstone Creek
easement, employee housing, construction phasing plan, contingent approvals, VRD space, public use easement for the
plaza, road relocation start date, 400 public parking spaces, gondola aerial access easement, land uses…hotel; gondola;
grocery; office space, DEVO relocation, development review assistance, skier drop off facility, Art in Public Places, off-
site improvement, construction parking, “vested rights”, excavation and shoring agreements, special events easement.
Again, these are the issues as I can recall them today. This should allow you to get started on the agreement. We’ll
spend time putting specifics and terms to the issues later.
