Dear Bud:
This is to confirm our telephone conversation regarding the two hour assembly requirement for the extensions to the
maid closets at the Mountain Haus.
Typically, I work through an architect in situations similar to this one, and they research and specify the assembly
requirements. I then size the structural members required to support the design loads.
I would suggest that you consult an architect to provide you with two hour assembly options since they have the fire
assembly manuals in house and work with that subject matter on a daily basis.

Dear Jeff`.
This is to confirm that I have reviewed the additional dead load on the above noted framing due to the fire assembly
requirements that you have provided to me. Specifically, the assemblies are U.L. Design D906 and Test Reference:
WHI- 495 -PSH -0128 per G -P Gypsum.
I have used a live load of 100 pounds per square foot and a dead load of 75 pounds per square foot in my
calculations. I have determined that the C4 x 5.4 channels at 16" on center specified on the original design are
adequate to support these design loads.
