Scope and Sequence:
1 — Change detectors from smoke to heat for remodel purposes.
2 — Replace wiring to maintain exist fire alarm system for building.
3 — Remove two smoke detectors in closets that have been deleted.
4 — Remove entry smoke detector for new ceiling layout. Smoke detector in living room
has adequate coverage.
5 — Rerun wire around remodel ceiling.
6 — Rough-in inspection with AHJ.
7 — Test wiring for integrity.
8 — Change detectors from heat to smoke.
9 — Final inspection with AHJ.
10 — Complete a Letter of Certificate.
Narrative:
Unit was remodeled after completion of new addressable fire system. Changed the Unit
detectors to heat sensors to eliminate false alarm potential. Replaced wiring to keep
existing building fire alarm system active through out the building. Moved wiring around
for the new ceiling layout. Removed detectors as stated above. Complete a rough-in
inspection with AHJ. Check wiring to verify integrity is still good. Upon completion of
remodel, reinstall smoke detectors, and test for proper operation. Complete a final
inspection with AHJ. Complete a letter of certificate and turn in to proper personnel.
