The following is a summary of our observations conducted on this date: 1) Observed welded connections of L4x3x5/16x10" to embeds at Level 1 between Gridlines A-J/1-1.3, J/1-1.8, B-C/4.6, E.2 & E.6/4.3-5 and found them to be in general compliance per Detail 9/S4.07. 2) Observed welded connections of '/4" bent plate to beam flange at Level 1 between Gridlines J/1.8-8, E.2-J/7.8-8, E.2/5.4-7.8, A-E.2/5.4 and found them to be in general compliance per Details 1/S4.07 and 12/S4.02. 3) Observed welded connections of L4x4x3/8 to embeds at Level 1 between Gridlines E.2 & E.5/4.6-5, H.3-J/6-7 and H.3-J/6-7, B-C/4.6-5.4 and L6x4x3/8 to '/4" bent plate at Gridlines E.2/5.4-7.8 and found them to be in general compliance per Details 3 & 12/S4.02 of the project plans. 4) Observed welded connections of HSS 6x4x1/2 to embed and to L4x3x3/16 at elevator and stair core between Gridlines B-C/4.6-5.4, E.2-E.5/4.3-5 and found them to be in general compliance per Detail 8/S4.07 of the project plans. 5) Observed bolted connections of beams and columns at Level 1 between Gridlines A- J/1-8 and found them in non-compliance due to loose or missing bolts per project plans and specifications. The following is a summary of our observations conducted on this date: 1) Observed are spot-welds/tek screws for Level 2 deck between Gridlines A-E.3/1.3- 5.4 and found them to be in general compliance with the project plans and specifications. 2) Observed Headed Anchor Studs at Level 2 deck between Gridlines A-E.3/1.3-5.4 and found them to be in non-compliance due to missing H.A.S. and H.A.S. failing bend test. Discrepancy Item #5. 3) GROUND observed H.A.S. automatically hand-welded to bent plate at Level 2 at Gridlines A/4.6-5.4, C.1-D.3/5.2, D.3-E.2/5.4 and D.3/4.6-5.2. Per General Notes on S1.00 of the project plans, headed anchor studs shall be welded directly to steel beams. Discrepancy Item #6. 4) GROUND is requesting Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTRs) for AWS D1.4 from PSI for welders reinforcing steel to bent plate.
