The Special Inspector(s} shall keep records of all inspections and shall furnish interim inspection reports to the registered design professional in responsible charge at a frequency agreed upon by the permit applicant and building official prior to the start of work. Discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the contractor and design professional in responsible charge for correction . If the discrepancies are not corrected , the discrepancies shall be brought to the attention of the building official by the registered design professional in responsible charge prior to the completion of that phase of work. A Final Report of Special Inspections shall be submitted by the design professional in responsible charge to the building official at the conclusion of the project and before a certificate of occupancy will be issued. (GROUND) per�ormed during the construction of fhe First Chair Employee Housing project, locafed 600 West Lionshead Circle in Vail , Colorado . The special inspections and materials testing services were performed at times scheduled by the Owner, Contractor and/or Subconfractors between May 26 , 2010 and March 1 � , 2011 . Representatives of our office were presenfi on a parfi time basis to periodically observe the fioundation subgrade , the placement of backfill for utilifies , pavement and sidewalk subgrades . Rluclear-moisture densi4y tes4ing was periodically performed on the processed soils . Please see GROUND's observafion reports and soils reporfi #08-6003 dated 12/11 /200� regarding preparafiion of the foundation subgrade soils . During construction , representatives of our office periodically observed reinforcing steel placemenf and performed periodic t�sting on the sfructural concrefie placed for the foundation , foundation walls , slabs on grade , slabs on deck and other structural elements . Sample� of the sfructural concrefie were periodically fe�ted fio determine physical properties and compres�ive strength . Represenfative� of our office periodically observed reinforcing �teel placement and grouting operations , during masonry construction , when scheduled by fhe Owner, Contractor or Subconfractor. At the time of our visifs , representatives of our office observed the placement of reinforcing steel and the general construction of the masonry walls . Mortar, grout, and masonry prism specimens were cast periodically during con�truction and tested for compressive strength . Strucfural steel welded and bolted connecfions were observed during construction by a certified welding in�pector {CWI ) . The�e observations were compl�ted at times scheduled by the Owner, Con�racfor or Subcontractor. The thickness and adhesive strengfh of the fireproofing was mea�ured and samples were periodically collect�d to determine the in-place density . Based on the final test results to date , field observafiion� , RFI 's received and other project documenfation received from fhe design team , ifi is our opinion th�t the materials tested and/or observed for the foundation soils , structural concrete , reinforcing sfieel , structural masonry , structural steel and spray applied fireproofing were in general accordance with projecf plans , specifications , and/or applicable RFI 's . The observafions and materials fiesfing as indicated above v�rere performed periodically to provide data to the Owner, Contractor and Subcontractors to assist fihem in evaluating fihe general compliance of the tesfed materials and/ar work with fhe contract documents at fhe times of our observafiion and festing . We did not supervise , direcf or have any control over any of the Contractor's or Subcontractor's work. We were not respon�ible far the Contractor's or Subcontractor's scheduling of our services , means , methods , procedures , techniques , or sequsnces of construction , nor responsible for ensuring fhat any Confractor or Subcontractor performed or completed the work in accordance with the contract documents or consfiruction industry standards .
