"Unified architectural and landscape design shall include, but not be limited to, the use of compatible building materials, architectural style, scale roof forms, massing, architectural details, site grading and landscape materials and features." The proposed changes to the Bigsby Residence include new deck rails, columns, etc. that do not match the existing east half of the duplex. The proposed changes to the west unit do not conform with the requirements Section 14-10-6, Residential Development, Vail Town Code, unless the east unit also upgrades their deck rails, column, etc. Town Staff can not approve the design review application for changes at the Bigsby Residence as it has been submitted. Please submit a revised application to upgrade the deck rails, column, etc. on both units of this duplex. If the eastern unit owners do not wish to upgrade their unit at this time, the Bigby's change to approved plans application can not be approved.
