All construction shall comply with the codes referenced herein and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations having jurisdiction. 2. The Contractor must obtain all required Building Permits and agency approvals. 3. The Contractor shall investigate, verify and be responsible for all conditions of the project and shall notify the Architect of any conditions requiring modifications or any discrepancies between the drawings and existing conditions prior to proceeding with work. 4. The Contractor is to protect all adjacent in-place construction, landscaping, paving, utilities, etc., from damage during construction. All paving construction, damaged landscaping, etc., to be restored to original condition by Contractor. 5. The contractor shall demolish and properly, legally, dispose of all materials in the areas indicated on the submittal plans. 6. Notes appear on various sheets for different systems and construction materials. All sheets are to be reviewed and notes on any one sheet are to be applied to all related drawings and details. 7. Details not shown are similar in character to those detailed. Where specified dimensions, details or design intent cannot be determined, consult the Architect prior to proceeding with the work. 8. Do not scale drawings. 9. Should any conflict occur between drawings of other disciplines and Architectural drawings, the Architectural drawings shall supersede all others. The Contractor shall notify the Architect immediately for interpretation. 10. The Contractor shall field verify all existing conditions and the extent of demolition prior to pricing and/or demolition. 11. Partitions are dimensioned to the face of the drywall unless noted otherwise. 12. All dissimilar metals shall be effectively isolated from each other to avoid galvanic corrosion. 13. All penetrations of ductwork, conduit, piping and similar work through fire rated assemblies shall be sealed to maintain the rating of the assembly with a UL approved material. Fire dampers shall be provided where appropriate. 14. Coordinate placement of all ceiling elements with Owner and Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Protection installers. Where discrepancies exist between drawings and installation, consult the Architect prior to proceeding. 15. All switches and controls for lights, heat, ventilation, window treatments,, fire alarms, elevator call buttons, and all similar controls of frequent or essential use shall be p laced within reach for individuals in wheelchairs as required by the accessibility codes. 16. Provide blocking as required for wall mounted items. 17. The Contractor must perform high quality, professional work. All new construction abutting existing walls shall be finished smooth and true with the existing walls so that no joint or break can be seen after installation. The work of each trade must meet or exceed all quality standards published by the trade. 18. If a revision or substitution is made to in any way alter the work so that it does not conform with the Contract Documents without the Architect's written approval, such action will relieve the Architect of any liability for the resulting aesthetic effect, subsequent failure, property damage, or personal injury.
