The mortar between the 8"x8"x16" blocks for the exterior of the walls was suspected of freezing on Saturday. Field engineer used a haininer to lightly tap the masonry joints. There was no flaking, nor was there any sign of cracking due to crystallization. Based on our observations, it is our opinion that the CMU walls on Gridlines A.0-C.0/8.0, A.0/6.1-8.0, C.0/2.6-8.0 from 0 to 4 feet have been properly prepared and have met project specifications.
